Set in the rolling hills of rural Wales, a couple living off-grid contacted us to help them achieve complete energy independence. They were looking for a reliable and futureproof solar solution that would provide long-term performance with minimal impact on their surrounding environment.
After surveying their land, we identified a sloped field as the best location to install a ground-mounted solar PV array. While the incline presented installation challenges, it also provided excellent solar orientation. Despite mixed weather conditions throughout the build, the team delivered a professional and high-performing installation.

The array was installed in a field with a steep incline next to the clients’ property. Key challenges included:
– Uneven terrain requiring careful ground screw placement.
– Exposed weather conditions including both sunshine and heavy rain.
– Off-grid setup requiring dependable battery storage.
– Visual sensitivity in a scenic, natural location.

Installation & MCS Certification: Included
Day 1–2: Ground was cleared and marked out. Timber guides were set and aligned for accuracy.
Day 3: Despite wet conditions, ground screws were hydraulically installed and levelled.
Day 4: Aluminium framework assembled and panels mounted securely.
Day 5: Battery storage installed, and the full system commissioned.
The couple now enjoy full energy independence and peace of mind knowing their off-grid home is powered entirely by clean, renewable solar energy.
