If you help run a community centre, village hall, or sports club in Wales — this is your chance to save big on energy costs and go green.
The Welsh Government has launched the Ynni Cymru Capital Grant Funding Programme 2025–2026, with up to £10 million available to help fund local energy projects. That means your hall could get solar panels, battery storage, heat pumps or EV chargers fully funded.
At Celtic Green Energy, we’re excited to help local communities make the most of this opportunity.
This funding is open to:
– Community organisations
– Social enterprises
– Public sector bodies
– Welsh SMEs (small to medium-sized businesses)
The Ynni Cymru grant is designed to support Smart Local Energy Systems – this could include:
– Solar panel installations
– Battery storage units
– EV charging points
– Heat pumps
– Microgrids or other smart tech
It depends on who you are:
– Community groups & social enterprises: No match funding needed
– SMEs: Only 10% match required
– Public sector: 25% match required
– Application deadline: 5pm, 16 June 2025
– Project completion: 31 March 2026
We’ve already supported clubs and centres across Wales in securing funding and installing renewable systems – including Cardiff Harlequins RFC and Carmarthenshire Gymnastics.
From advice on eligibility and paperwork to the full design and installation of your system, we’ll support you every step of the way.
We’ll check your eligibility, discuss the process, and provide a no-obligation quote tailored to your site.
Let’s power your community – for free.
